Here is a backgound I drew a little bit ago. Obviously of a forest. I have an idea what I could use this for...

Selling of my childhood
Since my mom moved this past Christmas I was given the wonderful opportunity to go through all of my old stuff that was back at her place and bring back a bunch or it and give the rest to my niece and nephews and Goodwill. Our place is fairly small and everything I brought back I still had to sort through when it got here. That was a big mess, but I have been able to go through it and narrowed down what I still want and what I am willing to sell or continue to give away. This sketch shows me amongst my childhood playthings and trying to give decide in the confusion.
New Portfolio Blog
I will be working on updating my portfolio in the next month to get ready for jobs and internships. It will probably be its own blog and I'll keep this one as a fun, playing around, non-serious art blog. I'll make a link in a few weeks once I get it started.
Here is another sartorialist sketch and a few ideas from Halloween that I haven't posted yet. Costume ideas for a few trick-or-treaters.
EDIT... Apparently adding photos with the blogger app isn't the best method... I'll try again....Better quality now

Back from hiatus, Fanart Friday-ish
My wife and I have been watching Taken, the Sci-Fi channel series back when the channel was actually named Sci-Fi, about alein abductions and it had Dakota Fanning in it. The aliens' eyes would turn black when they used their powers as well as any of the hybrid humans...for the most part, and it reminded me of the older WB animated mini-series Invasion America. When one would greet another their eyes would do this black hole thing. I decided to do a quick animation of it
I might color it or make it a bit more fluid and clean, but for a quick test I am happy. I need to get into animating more and this is the first step.

Legend of Korra political cartoon 2
Here is my second Legend of Korra political cartoon. It is themed around the time that Korra quit the Task Force that Tarrlok set up and when she is kidnapped. I personally like the sketchy-ness of it. I tried a more cleaned up version, but it just didn't have as much life in my eyes.

Final display case backdrop for fall
Here is my final version of the backdrop for a display case at The Provo Library. I'll post a picture of it in the actual display cases once they put it up.

Fall display case background at work (WIP)
At work we have a few display cases that usually are themed in coordination with a visiting author or event. For the month of November they asked me to make a simple fall sunset background. Here is my first pass at it. The two light vertical line represent where the divisions are between the three cases.

Birthday Card for the wife
My wife is a huge Doctor Who fan and this year I decided to do something out of the ordinary for each day during the week leading up to her birthday. This is what I came up with on the first day. Although now that I've scanned it I see that the window on the door to the TARDIS is not correct perspectively. I suppose I can fix that and still color it someday.

Legend of Korra political cartoon
Here is one of my Legend of Korra political cartoons. What is an Equalists home life like? I'm sure it can't be pretty.
